Hell no. My ex wife was a teacher. My brother is a teacher. My sister in lawis a teacher. The amount of work they put in outside of school is nuts and they spend their own money on resources. The pay is no way worth the Daddy dad the master of embarrassing dance moves and questionable fashion choices lgbt T-Shirt Also,I will get this amount of time, effort, and stress. I’d teach computing, on the basis it remains optional – i.e. the people doing it have opted to study it, not been forced to. Dealing with teenagers who are only doing something because they’re made to isn’t really my bag. Certainly not for 40 hours a week anyway. All those holidays sound great but I bet most of them are spend doing admin shit for the school and you have to spend over the odds to actually go abroad as you’re limited to that time of the year

Absolutely not. I haven’t the Daddy dad the master of embarrassing dance moves and questionable fashion choices lgbt T-Shirt Also,I will get this patience to deal with children’s parents, or deal with how teachers are treated by the government / their own schools. No. Did it for 37 years. Kids are great, the adults behave like children, particularly the more senior they get and the whole system is designed to make you and most of the kids fail. Universities have stifled all creativity in science education making it a disaster for any kid with real gumption. Give it a wide berth and do something more useful with your life. I was a teacher for four years, and I wouldn’t go back, nor would I recommend it as a career path. I loved my subject and my students, but 8 years on I earn almost 3 times as much as I did and have about half of the stress, plus my weekends and evenings back. No regrets – but I do feel sad for the students, and the profession as a whole, that things are going the way they are. Good teachers are worth their weight in gold. I am tempted. I’ve recently started looking into it- I prefer younger children though (3-11) and I’ve failed my maths qualification due to being chronically ill at the time of exams (the entire year). My experience in school as a child who struggled to pay attention and study has made me wonder if this would be a bad career path for me, though. But then I wonder what my teachers could have done right for me, and if I could help people like me. I don’t know if parents would want someone who failed their maths qualification and had to retake it (I am confident I could pass it) teaching their children. I have a teacher friend who’s been lovely in telling me all about it, but they’re in Canada. It’s a completely different place, and I haven’t managed to find any teachers in the UK to tell me how it is. It’d be a long road for me as I didn’t go to uni and I still can’t as I need to financially support myself and my partner but it’s something I’ve strongly been considering. I’ve heard that recent years of children have had disgusting behaviour though.
