I’m branching out a bit in my content and working on a few different things – letting the Crazy XC Cross Country Runner Coach Retro T-Shirt besides I will buy this ADHD guide me, basically! 407 here, hoping to get to 1000 by the end of the year…imagine!? I gave up a few months ago, but recently got back into it. I take my hat off to successful YouTubers, shit is hard. Just got 40! I think it just started giving actual impressions after the initial friend/family influx confused the algorithm. I have 41 subscribers after a little less than 6 months of constant uploading.) Sometimes I feel like that I’m not even a SmallTuber compared to the people who are here with thousands of subscribers, but that’s okay. 😀 Aspoonisme! That is literally so nice! I have happy tears bc I’ve been second guessing myself. You’re kind comment means way more to me than you know! Thank you so much! Your and everyone’s. Especially for those of us that are at the beginning stages. If you have any advice, or at least one thing that you would recommend to someone in the beginning stages, what would that be? I was hoping that this subreddit would attract new subscribers, why is that a bad thing? Promoting your own content seems to frowned upon in just about every subreddit. So where then do you promote? From your history, it looks like your main reason for using reddit is self promotion. You don’t see why that’s frowned upon? It’s like you’re out of touch with the platform itself. Reddit is for sharing things and discussing them. Imagine rolling up to a group of people at a party that you don’t know, who are excitedly discussing something, only to interrupt them to ask for a favor. And that’s the only reason you’re at the party, to ask people you don’t know for favors. You don’t think that would be frowned upon?

You had a positive reception when sharing in the Crazy XC Cross Country Runner Coach Retro T-Shirt besides I will buy this bushcraft sub. This sub has specific threads for self promotion. Pretty simple. But the purpose of this sub is not to attract subscribers for your channel, it’s to discuss being new to youtube and hopefully gain some insight as to growing your channel. Everyone here has a channel. This isn’t a pool of people for you to poach from to become subscribers for yours. Frankly, you should be far more concerned with making better content before you start trying to promote your channel. In your most recent upload, you literally have a full minute of just a potato wrapped in foil sitting next to a small fire. No voiceover, no cutting to cool b roll of the woods, literally just a potato for a full minute with droning acoustic guitar music. Then like 2 minutes of your back obscuring two thirds of the shot while you eat. Why are you trying to promote this? You need to get better at making videos first.
