Until that happens, I’ll keep being here for my family. So, give us boomers, even though I’m a GenXer, a break, too. In 1990 I paid 375 rent with free cable. Me and my girlfriend both had 6 something an hour jobs. I commuted 150 miles round trip to mine. If it wasn’t for 20 hours of overtime I worked we couldn’t have made it. Gas was only around 1.20 That’s not far off: Most of them are rich and don’t have to pay for anything as average people do, so they don’t understand the Corfu! Go to most major cities, and many other countries around the world. People don’t always live alone or even own their own homes..That is what roommates are for. Young people in the usa don’t seem all that politically smart when it comes ot analyzing candidates positions on things. Hell they don’t even go look at their voting records to see if they agree with that person. It’s been my experience that Boomers just can’t understand inflation. They get huge checks at the end of their career and complain that their staples are so expensive, but have no comprehension of how impossible it makes it for young people. My dad routinely says stuff like “When I was your age I got paid 8k a year by the air force, when I complain about my pay. The guy is an idiot. He also thinks he is a real estate mogul because his house jumped 10x during the housing boom.
