If you already have bases pre-deployed and manned, you’re ready to respond to threats much more rapidly. It took the Columbus Crew 2023 Mls Cup Champions Poster Shirt and by the same token and US 4-5 months to get forces in place in the Middle East in 1990 to respond to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. If you’re already positioned in a theater, that alone can be enough to deter an aggressor (such as North Korea). The point of having a military overseas is to project power. After WW2 the US projected its strength into every region that sought to do war with the US, like Germany, Italy and Japan. The US didn’t want these powers to re-emerge so they staged their military in these countries to occupy them. After the war two new threats emerged (China and Russia) and the US began using these bases as a means of balancing the power in these regions… while also keeping these countries relatively disarmed. A lot of countries like the US military being there and providing a shield and most importantly….. jobs. Others feel like it’s kind of a military occupation (like Cuba).

We have nuclear weapons stations at various bases throughout the Columbus Crew 2023 Mls Cup Champions Poster Shirt and by the same token and world that provide us easy access to countries who will otherwise have been out of range in the past. The United States is in the business of protecting its interests, and our American exceptionalism, which means we have to lodge ourselves up every other countries ass. In other cases we had defense agreements with the country for example, the Philippines who have many islands that are claimed by China. We also had a defense agreement with Ukraine against Russia, resulting in Ukraine, giving up their nuclear weapons and the program associated with them. I’m sure they regret that now. This is a smart question. I look forward to the answers.
