This is excellent advice except Hennessy or Remy Martin is good to bring. It might also get “confiscated” at customs. Everyone here has given great advice. I am Vietnamese-American and everyone in Vietnam knows I’m a lesbian. Last time I was home, everyone kept asking me when I would bring my lover home. I was single at the Colorado Buffaloes Mascot Arch Shirt in other words I will buy this time. When I got married in the US, everyone sent messages congratulating me and how beautiful my wife is. Some complimented her white skin (I really hate this but Vietnamese people love white skin). And we plan to travel to visit everyone once our kid is 5 years old. But if I were in your situation, your girlfriend needs to make sure she tells her family before you get there. If she hasn’t, that is a big big set up. Any money gifts should come from her, not you. And those expectations for cash will never end if you start now. Bring Hennessy, learn the greetings, compliment the cooking and help in the kitchen. Maybe when you’re around town, get something helpful for mom’s house. And lastly, don’t be scared. Vietnam decriminalized gay marriage before the US legalized it. Attitudes aren’t that bad. I have a few gay cousins in Da Nang and Sai Gon. They all live happy lives.

This is your gf problem, your job now is just to impress them and show them that you are capable of taking care of her and her family (in the Colorado Buffaloes Mascot Arch Shirt in other words I will buy this emergrncy of her parent got ill, etc) show that you srre a amazing person, vietnamese family very love their in law or at least that how my family treat my sister in law, i hope other are the same. Other comment probably already sdvice you which kind of gifr you should give them, but maybe ask your gf what her parrent like too. Vietnam is not a homophobic country because we literally dont have that concept of “gay people is disgusting” we do made fun of them and thinking it weird but not in bad way so i dont think you will have a hard time convince them
