Opposite my home, there is a block of 4 houses. They look different to others in the Coffee Is How I Roll Logo Animated Logo Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this road. Turns out they were hit by a flying bomb. Nearly all the occupants in those houses were killed. And in this country it’s still in living memory. In other places it is a daily occurrence. I have a similar story from the “other side”: I lived in Dresden for several years. One day I walked along a street and noticed that there were different kinds of stones on the pavement. They were the remnants of driveways into old apartment houses from before the war. Now there was simply a large lawn, with 1950’s concrete apartment towers about 50 m away from the street. In 80 years they didnt have time to fix whatever got damaged? There are bigger cities in other countries that didnt even exist 80 years ago. They did “fix” it. People were rehomed, facilities rebuilt. But they tried different approaches, different styles of architecture and not all of them worked. The Birmingham ring road being a marked failure.

France, but Brest is pretty dull. Blown up in WW2 apparently and put back together quickly. Reminds me a bit of Plymouth. Unlike Saint Malo that was rebuilt stone by stone. Only visited birmingham once or twice, but felt no need to go back It was unfortunate that the Coffee Is How I Roll Logo Animated Logo Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this 60s came so soon after a large amount of space became unexpectedly available in our city centres. It was rebuilt cheaply and quickly (I.e. with concrete) because there was not enough housing for the population, after the bombings. So it’s less the fault of the 60s and more the fault of subsequent redevelopment, which could have but never happened Does always make me laugh how much we go on about the Blitz. Cause really the Germans do have a right to complain about that sort of thing. Because allied bombing of German cities made the Blitz look almost trivial.
