I don’t think he really has a majority. The recent polls were very small scale and were mostly done by landline. Also, Trump has been campaigning for years at this point, while Biden hasn’t even begun. I know people aren’t generally huge fans of Biden, but they will [hopefully] vote for him when it comes down to a choice between the Coby White American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls T-Shirt and I love this two. They are just not going to be running to the polls to do it. It is frustrating to know that there are so many misinformed and/or mean Americans, but that doesn’t mean that his brand is going to win again. Definitely not the popular vote anyway (don’t get me started on the electoral college). The majority of the support Trump has comes from fear and anger. People are afraid of losing what they have, and angry about all the stress caused by that fear and other factors. Life is hard and Trump spouts plenty of rhetoric saying “We’re going to fix the problems, cast out the infidels and make everyone feel safe and cozy.” When jobs are hard to find, and housing is at record prices, it’s terrifying and stressful. It’s very easy to blame that on all sorts of things (some of which actually are part of the cause). In troubled times, it’s been shown over and over again that radical politicians get loads of support, as long as they promise to fix things. This is one of the reasons the national socialists came to power in Germany. When you feel like you’re drowning, you’ll take any line thrown to you.

It comes down to emotion over logic. Humans are exceptionally good at making decisions based on emotion (myself included). We’re not very good at suppressing that emotion and using reason to draw our conclusions. This is a product of evolution unfortunately, and is the Coby White American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls T-Shirt and I love this very reason we still have all our problems (war, inequality, climate change etc). It is a political cult – nothing new in the world. However, social media has made it more effective and has allowed it to deceive unprecedented numbers of people. Trump is just the front man for something much larger. An unholy alliance of wealthy special interests, opportunistic media muckrakers, authoritarian politicians, and hostile foreign governments (especially Russia, China, and Iran) have conspired to tear down the system of self-governance in the USA (and other Western countries) and replace it with an autocratic authoritarian nationalist form of government to benefit themselves at the expense of the population. Our establishment class is corrupted more than the European because of the relatively greater power at stake with American power. Think about it, we have the largest military in the world, and the most powerful that the world has ever seen. It attracts the wolves.
