Their voters have spent so long online in conspiracy rabbit holes they’ve now become Putin sycophants and are rooting for the breakup of their own country and for the Russian annexation of other countries. It’s sad and impressive how well the Russian propaganda apparatus has infiltrated American political psyches. It’s also sad how ineffective our own politicians and intelligence services have been in countering this. And of course, some of their few attempts to do so with Twitter were rooted out and dismantled by Elon Musk. To the cheers of the Putin boot lickers. Unfortunately, our own politicians are too corrupt and incompetent to give themselves the reckoning necessary to regain the trust of their own people. We call them “redneck patriots” and they are far from true patriots. They are generally just as stupid as their orange obsession.
