I like drama that comes up organically but sometimes it feels so manufactured that it takes me out. Plus it can be hard knowing that fans will run with things sometimes that spiral into this uncomfortable mob mentality bullshit. If I’m being honest most seasons except for 4 I fast forward till they get to what the Clover stop the malarkey St Patrick’s day shirt it is in the first place but challenge is gonna be and the floors show and judging. The drama is dumb in my opinion but I get finding it entertaining. Just not my cup of tea I dont mind it, as its reality TV, I just dont like it when they keep them because they like them, but even I have to admit that part IS classic reality TV because then we become invested watching in moments such as “well, Merrie? Who do YOU think should go home?” I don’t care for it. I’d rather see a show with performers lifting eachother up more than just tearing eachother down. Like sure, some drama here and there is absolutely neseccary for reality tv. But starting the first episode with “who does everyone think will go home first” and have that scene drag out for like ten minutes? I don’t think we needed that.

Edit: I actually think I don’t care for it because it feels fabricated. A producer prob asked them to have that conversation. We had a nice opening where everyone shows who they are and boom there’s the Clover stop the malarkey St Patrick’s day shirt it is in the first place but produced drama. Let it happen, let it exist on its own, and then guide it. This is honestly purely subjective. Personally I’d prefer zero drama, I’m really not interested in people fighting. I would like to hear the contestants talk more about their inspiration, concepts and stuff. I don’t really think there is such a a thing as the correct proportion of drama. When the contestants fight a lot you will see Reddit posts about how they wish the show focus less on the drama, but when there is less drama you will also see Reddit posts about how they think the show is boring because there is no story line.
