During the Cliffhanger by Sylvester Stallone Movie Poster T-Shirt in addition I really love this pandemic I was told I’m an “essential worker” but if this work is so essential why am I still barely scraping by to rent a room in someone else’s house AND afford food at the same time? I’m sorry, but if a job absolutely needs to be done then the one doing it (full time) should be compensated at least enough to afford to live. No one is asking to get rich just standing behind a register or whatever, but we shouldn’t have to choose between rent or food either. The problem is believe politicians when they claim they present as ineffective when the truth is they are nefarious. My rent in college at Colorado State University, for a separate bedroom in a 4br apartment, was $85 a month, which included utilities and cable TV, and that was in 1984. Not only are the politicians’ minds stuck in the 1940’s prices, when’s the last time any of them HAD to pay for rent, groceries, fuel, car maintenance, prescriptions???

My parents bout their house 25 years ago for $30k. The price of that home today is $115k and their wages barely kept up with inflation during that time, but it wasn’t a bad deal with such a low mortgage. If they had to purchase a home with their wages, they bank would laugh in their face. The system is broken. ? my mom is always astonished at the Cliffhanger by Sylvester Stallone Movie Poster T-Shirt in addition I really love this current market rate for a studio in SF. According to her, she and my dad paid $60/mo and took the bus to work for a dime from their place just off of GGP??‍♂️ I got super lucky and found an apartment for 1095 that included both water and tv and internet. 2 bed 2 bath even. Similar places in my area are trying to charge 15-1600 for a 2 2 in shit areas that has less than half the amenities I have. The shit is ridiculous. Could be part of the problem. But also allowing companies to charge more to make up for that “loss” of revenue.. as we are seeing that in play right now. Maybe not all the prices of things such as gas, food, rent, are due to the increase of minimum wage, but it does have a play in it. The major part of this is the companies that are continually getting too greedy and the lack of management from the government to keep it under control. And with many desperate for a job, the prices for that don’t increase as much either. It’s becoming quite a vicious cycle of bullshitery
