I saw her in Heaven in London and not the Cleveland Cavaliers Darius Garland he’s on fire comic book shirt and I will buy this was she a mesmerising lip syncer and dancer, she looked beautiful. She’s worked on it! Her clapping back is all a part of the experience. I’d rather she do this than suffer in silence People should know the consequences of DM’ing a queen with negativity! I think it’s awful how we treat each other on social media (and it mostly is social media tbh. People aren’t throwing tomatoes at queens performing in the clubs…for the most part). Like, say what you will but is it absolutely necessary to tag people when you’re calling their drag shit? I’ve never understood that. It’s just so nasty. But one thing I’m really interested in is the divide between queens for whom drag is a thing they take on and off–it’s their job, or their hobby that they’re trying to turn into a job–versus the queens for whom drag is their identity. I think the latter group is more susceptible to getting their feelings hurts, like Amanda clearly is. I’m not really sure what the solution for folks like that is but it does feel like the Drag Race social media community isn’t the best place for queens like her to be. I couldn’t handle non-stop attacks on something I see as my personal identity either!

Considering that drag is the Cleveland Cavaliers Darius Garland he’s on fire comic book shirt and I will buy this vehicle through which Amanda discovered she’s a woman, people’s repeated, overblown, and constant insults would be very difficult for anyone in a similar situation to not take personally. Im sure that what the girls mentally prepared for and what it’s actually like to be the spotlight of such a large fandom are two extremely different things i understand that it’s difficult bc the fans are so horrible but like ru said, if they aren’t paying your bills pay them no mind. but lowkey i think all this notoriety is actually what’s paying her bills atm otherwise she’d lowkey be forgotten I think unfortunately as she is going through a personal identity and gender journey, being judged on an international scale is not great timing… Listen, you can have an opinion all you want, it doesn’t mean it either needs to be said or that you need to tag them.
