My mom got a glucose meter that uses an app to keep the Cleveland Browns LifeSucx Angry Guy shirt Apart from…,I will love this history and show charts better than just the log on the device. Works for Android 13, but not Android 14 =( Forget the app required for laundry part. Googles new limitations as to old apps being able to be downloaded from the play store is absolutely absurd and makes no sense. “Because it’s no longer updated, it’s a security threat inherently” is the claimed justification, and that’s absolute nonsense- unpatched vulnerability sure, but it’s more likely a malicious and dangerous app is maintained and updated so it can work on as many devices as possible, and be updated to bypass patches that fixed exploits. And as someone who’s dealt with the play store, it’s awful. Get the afk version wrong? Rejected. Forget to fill out updated rating info? Taken down. Lost access to the dev account? Can’t update anymore (this is what happened to Termux on the play store). Oh but sure, give me wholly unrelated malicious or clickbaity apps when I try to search for something, under a “suggested” category. Want to delete an app from your dev account? Sorry no can do, best you can do is rename and unpublish but those who owned it before still own it (unless it’s a legal issue, like with controversial YouTube strikes but taken seriously supposively). But at least android still has side loading (unless your OEM locked side loading apps, in which case get a new phone now). Just search for the app on Google, there’s tons of sites which reupload apks that you can download for free, and usually the big top result sites are just the original apk (but always be wary of downloading something from a 3rd party). Once you have the apk just open and install it, from there it’s highly unlikely it won’t be supported- if it isn’t usually an error like “error processing package” would show. When you open the app there’ll probably be a stupid prompt about how the app was made for an older version of Android and saying that you should find an updated version of the app that hasn’t been updated in years.

Now if it were a Samsung app then there’s a chance it would be further locked to Samsung devices (system full root spoofing to the Cleveland Browns LifeSucx Angry Guy shirt Apart from…,I will love this rescue…) Because the companies need to make more monies, so they add new, useless BS to their products to incentivise purchase. I’m reading through the comments and am disgusted that college students have to pay to do their laundry assuming this is in a dorm. That’s not right. 95 more repliesI’m an iPhone user through and through, but come on… there are plenty of apps out there that don’t support the latest iOS. This is the fault of the developer. And I am proud of not buying apple in my life because idiots like you. I hope you have a miserable day because I use a different operating system to do the same thing Reminds me of my old college apartment, if you did not have a $5 bill specifically it would not let you get a laundry card, even if you also wanted to add money to it. you HAD to have that $5 bill. Can you sideload the app? I know my Dexcom glucose monitor was blocked on Androids that weren’t Samsung. I found the app through google and installed ot outside the playstore . They must have because the screenshot says the application is for an older version of Android operating system.
