Sales and distribution – yeah we’re an MLM, and we’re not even as organized as Amway. You’ll be storing our product all over your house. Job Description: “Hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Candidate must reside in metro area or be willing to relocate to be considered. The term “fast paced” is a red flag for me because I am a slow/moderate paced person. Us slow going individuals don’t get enough love in the Classic Home Alone Kevin Mccallister And Wet Bandits shirt and by the same token and workforce. Every time I had a “fast paced work environment” kind of job it was just coded language for people hounding you every second of the work day. I once saw a job posting for an Executive Assistant where they said they were looking for their “Devil Wears Prada” assistant. You mean the movie about an assistant losing all of her personal boundaries and becoming a slave to her job? Great.

Company lunch provided ( we gave you a lunch so now you need to stay later since you were technically clocked out for the Classic Home Alone Kevin Mccallister And Wet Bandits shirt and by the same token and lunch break makes a 8.5 hours day now ) Unlimited PTO – you’re always too busy to use it, and people complain about those who actually take advantage of it (they’re never available). “Work hard, play hard” “We’re like a family” “Fast paced environment” “We like to move fast” “Looking for All star employees” I was the interviewer and fast paced environment was the only way to kindly describe the job totally was a red flag Saw a job posting once that said something to the effect of “the internet doesn’t ever stop so neither do we, you’ll always need to be available” Well for me, it would have to be anything that requires traveling out of state for training or orientation. I’ve been stuck recently with some quite large credit card bills for hotels and rental cars for some would be high profile jobs that turned out to be complete fly-by-night charlatans masquerading as persons / companies of integrity. Edit: I find that anyone who is truly serious in headhunting or recruiting that want you to travel to them for training or orientation ( in your car ) will have no problem, Zelleing you the money, upfront, or a rental car reservation and hotel accommodations if they’re truly bona fide and serious. “Up to” tells me nothing. Tell me where it starts, not where it ends. I figure it’s cause the starting point is minimum wage and they don’t think people will apply knowing that.
