Wow that went to 100 really fast! Has she never slept over before? I would tell her she is welcome to live there but you won’t be getting rid of the Christopher Moltisanti Sopranos Poster Shirt besides I will buy this fan so it’s her choice One interpretation here is that she’s decided she’ll move in with you in order to mould you into what she wants you to be – someone skinnier who doesn’t need to sleep with a fan – and not in order to live with who you are right now. Because those are both things she already knew about and had experienced (you had spent the night together before, with fan, I presume?). On the other hand, moving in with someone is scary, and I’m sure it’s completely normal to have little niggles of “oh shit should I have done this?” at the beginning, including “oh god every single damn night of my life now I’m going to have to sleep with this stupid fan and I can’t sleep and I just can’t deal with it” – i.e. something that is not really a huge deal, and has a solution, is blown up in her mind in the moment (and she’ll be worrying about all that, further making it impossible to sleep, while raging internally at the fan which isn’t really the problem).

I think the Christopher Moltisanti Sopranos Poster Shirt besides I will buy this best way forward would be to find out what about the fan she doesn’t like and get one that solves the problem for her (less noisy, or whatever) – seeing as you now pay rent only on one place, you should have some money for a fancy fan. Also trying to accommodate her and make her welcome in what is now both of your homes will, I’d hope, make her feel more at ease and thus should also help more generally. I can’t tell you how you should respond to her snapping about your weight, I don’t know if / how much / in what way it bothers you. My first wife constantly complained. She is no longer my wife. My current wife knows that I use a fan 9 / 12 months of the year. I bought one with a super low setting, it’s essentially silent. I can’t remember, but there’s a name for the type of motor. She knows I need it and am trying my best. Take from that what you will.
