Those “political events” and the Christmas Friends Einstein shirt in contrast I will get this motivation behind them were apparent to Ennis: “The farmer-growers association going to Congress asked for getting rid of these people. This was very largely a movement by a lot of different people to use the opportunity to get the Japanese farmer off the West Coast . . . . They got all their land, they got thousands and thousands of acres of the best land in California. The Japanese were just pushed off the land!” Anson unabashedly admitted as much to Taylor in the Saturday Evening Post: “We’re charged with wanting to get rid of the Japs for selfish reasons. We might as well be honest. We do. It’s a question of whether the white man lives on the Pacific Coast or the brown men. They came into this valley to work and they stayed to take over.”

And ya know, this is all easily confirmed. Just another little nugget of Americana they don’t like to mention in school. Racism is an inherent feature of capitalism. The internment camps are actually a good example of how capitalism exploits racial divisions to benefit the Christmas Friends Einstein shirt in contrast I will get this ruling class. There isn’t any racism here in the US, at least since they rounded up all the Japanese, including American citizens born and raised here, stole all heir property and put them in concentration camps. Oh yeah, and segregation for blacks, and Jim Crow laws, but that’s another story. Racism is gone here, uh except for those nasty (pathetic) white supremacists. I forgot they came in those. The two opposing triangle punches in the top my mom would make before pouring it into a standard 1970s plastic pitcher. She didn’t buy it much, but I remember a green flavor we would lovingly refer to as “bug juice”.
