Here is a hard pill for most people in this world to swallow: religion is a choice. Entirely socially constructed. Made up. There is no biological basis or requirement for people to participate in religion. The real threat to children was always Christian church people, all the Christmas Cruise Squad 2023 Family Vacation Trip T-Shirt and I love this gay / trans bashing is just a distraction from the real threat How about if the liars who peddled this Christian shit actually believed their souls would go to hell for eternity they would never commit these crimes. Problem is they know it’s all bullshit and just do it for a the power and control. And yet conservatives are going after the LGBT community accusing them of this while completely ignoring this shit. I increasingly suspect this is genuinely about half of what you need to know about them – the right runs on sexual repression. The other half is their wild fantasies about imaginary beings (who are apparently also fixated with sex). Our church basketball coach had relationship with one of my friends .I met her when she was 13.The running joke was that they were in relationship. He got married to a deacons daughter, the rumors continued. He became our youth pastor. While we were at camp the crap hit the fan they confessed that there were in relationship. He resigned from church and that was it He didn’t get in any other legal trouble because the church wanted to sweep it under the rug. This was in the late 70s,this sort of thing has been around forever.

What people often forget is that if you believe that your God is speaking through you can justify just about anything. Whether it’s calling for execution of queer people or raping children. This the Christmas Cruise Squad 2023 Family Vacation Trip T-Shirt and I love this problem of having religion. Note I say religion not personal spirituality. Evangelicals should not be protecting child rapists. The fuck is wrong with them? How many rape their kids too? Is there a difference in the US between evangelicals and protestants? Where I’m from it’s one and the same and just a slightly different flavour of Christians. I had been leaving the faith for a while, but I jumped right out of it when my dad told me that their church was attempting to buy the low income housing units across the street from them to build a parking lot there. I asked him why they couldn’t purchase the empty lot that was actually closer for their parking lot and he said “well we don’t really need the parking, we just don’t want the wrong kinds of people moving into the neighborhood.” Any and all good will I had for the church left me in that moment.
