Yyou have a claim but your claim comes last after the Christmas Cat Mommy Wearing Santa hat Lights Vintage Sunset shirt Furthermore, I will do this more “important” debtors. Banks etc get paid first. Worse if will left the car to someone (may not have mentioned it specifically, but he could still infer all assets are left to a certain relative / friend). When you talk to the family see if they will sell you the car and sign his name on the title and backdate the bill of sale. I would try and see if you can purchase the vehicle from the estate. Family would benefit from cash in hand and one less thing to liquidate later. Plus you get your car.
