I can’t recommend specific remote jobs. I’ve been WFH for over 10 years now, way pre-pandemic, as a software engineer. One thing I can say is that I put in over 10 years at an office. One hour commute each way in bumper to bumper traffic. 10+ hour days. It caught up with me. I became totally disillusioned about everything. I dreaded the thought of going to work. I dreaded the same thing, every day. Alarm, morning routine, car, traffic, desk, computer, car, traffic, couch, fall asleep. i not only resigned from that job, I almost gave up on everything due to that burnout. I simply didn’t care about anything at all anymore. Don’t let it get to that point. Leverage your skills and hopefully find other companies out there with a better work/life balance. They are out there. I’ve been in this career 20+ years so at this point, I’m a remote software engineer and that’s it, full-stop. Not going back to an office again and risking that all over again. I put in my time. I did those 10+ hour days for 6 months, got accepted into a graduate program, and quit the next day. Not sure I’d be where I am today in terms of mental and physical health if I still had to live that life.

Take your vacation time, look into fmla or leave of absence to take care of yourself if a vacation isn’t enough. Start saving extra money now so if that time is unpaid, you can afford it.
