You need to shut off all the Chris sale chisel signature American professional baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this other voices/distractions in your head telling you… later…. Tomorrow… I’m too tired… When I was bodybuilding it was a a unrelenting need for validation tbh did I get any ? No. Do I still work out ? No It’s shit, it’s boring, but it does make you feel better about yourself. I do it from October until about June. Can’t be arsed with it when it’s hot I imagine we have very different views of the world and life. Our experiences are probably very different and that ultimately impacts how I see exercise. I’m 36 and my life has been challenging. Unstable Home growing up, toxic and emotionally abusive ex wife, worked in manufacturing 15 years, etc. To me life is one long difficult, challenging journey to survive. Exercise being painful is just life in a nutshell. Hard work for results and to thrive. Asking how I summon the drive to me is like asking how to I wake up every morning and get shit done. I just do and always have. One thing about living through miserable periods of life when you feel like your world is crashing down on you, just keep waking up and moving forward and eventually everything is okay again. You can overcome anything you want to overcome. Just don’t give up.

It’s for my mental health. Working out helps get my mind off of things. Skipping the Chris sale chisel signature American professional baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this gym makes me feel so guilty and saddens me. The physical benefits are just a nice bonus. I never viewed excercise as a chore in my life, the process itself is enjoyable. Not all people have passions or drives for the same things and that is fine. For me it’s not so much the drive that’s the issue as opposed to my gym. It’s always stupidly packed and you just can’t get a decent enough workout going. It’s not about drive. It’s about investment. Your future goals to become or to avoid certain physical conditioning. Motivation follows action, moreso than action happening from some kind of intrinsic motivation. It often helps to set a goal. Whether it be a race or competition type goal, or just marking off a wall calendar and seeing your successful discipline displayed over time. Accountability is a good motivator too, having a friend to work out with, or even just joining a sport specific group like Strava where your results will be posted for other people to see.
