It depends on what other sorts of opportunities there are in your area, and what other opportunities you would be able to get with the Chocksett Middle School Class Of 2029 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this experience of managing. If you expect that doing the job for 12-18 months to gain the experience and then move on is viable, then I’d take it even without the pay bump now. Just do so firmly of the mindset that you will make this move pay for you regardless of whether they are the ones to offer the money or someone else is. Also, stick to the timeline even if they don’t, if they miss the deadline (or dont set one), set your own and stick to it. You owe them nothing, it’s a business transaction, and if it’s more beneficial to be elsewhere, be elsewhere. Don’t ever threaten to go elsewhere though. Ask for what you’re worth, and keep quiet until you’re ready to walk out the door if they keep refusing to pay what you’re worth. They said it all. Get everything in writing, set a time frame (definitely no more than 3 months = 12 week’s). And to see how serious they really are about it all ask for retro pay if after the time frame is met and they give you the position.

Tell them you can’t accept such an increase in responsibilities and duties for your current pay and you appreciate the Chocksett Middle School Class Of 2029 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this opportunity to interview for the position, but you can only accept a reasonable offer to take on the promotion. That has happened to me. Boss was let go, me and a coworker picked up the slack. No pay raise. We were offered to apply for the position, but we were passed up for someone with an advanced degree. I had similar situation- (I didn’t have the experience they wanted but I knew I could learn quickly and do a great job). I put a very specific time limit on it (3 mos), exactly what my pay would be at the end of that time, or if they didn’t think I was worth it, I leave (or in your case, revert back to job you had). I basically gambles on myself. I did get that pay raise in 3 mos (30% raise) and at end of year, because I was willing to ‘work with them) I got another 30% of my new pay as a bonus. You could say you’re ‘not comfortable’ with doing extra work for no extra pay and decline and see what they do.
