The shitty part is after buying Twitter, Twitter the Chingedy Ching Hee Haw Donkey Santa Hat Apparel Merry Christmas Gift T-Shirt and I love this company has to service the interest payments on the loan, for over a billion per year that would have gone to staff/other operating costs. Elon can do that because in the private company he can budget however he wants. He does still need to come up with $21 billion more in cash, but he can do the fine loan scheme against his other companies. Either billionaires have tons of bots operating on the internet to defend them, or humans are really naturally deferential to people in power/authoritarians, because every time billionaires come up on Reddit hundreds of users swarm to defend them, largely using misinformation and claiming they aren’t actually as wealthy as their net worth and therefore we can’t raise taxes on these poor, innocent billionaires. Which as we see here, with Musk blowing more than 45 billion dollars on a whim, isn’t true. It’s not just about the value of their shares, it’s about how much money do they have access to at any given time to spend.

Because rich people can estimate their wealth and liquidate its value or borrow against it. It’s actually pretty straightforward: his assets have real monetary value but the money is theoretical until he chooses to make it real. This should shed some light on that:

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
