Because the Chicago CUBS x Peanuts Characters Forever Not Just When We Win Shirt What’s more,I will buy this republicans of the late 90s figured out they could exploit intellectual gaps in society by blaming all their problems on the democrats Rush Limbaugh and other far-wing wackos in the 80’s, pushed hard to discredit normal moderate folks. Everyone needed to be angrily opposed. RIP ASSHATS. News, social media, even Reddit are all very abnormal slices of reality. Heck, a significant amount of content is just completely made up. Basically trump, that was without a doubt the division. People were a little divisive before but now it’s nuts, and he is the reason. it’s just shitheads that won’t stop caring what’s in others’ pants, going on in other people’s bedrooms, or bodies. Take a look at all the political subreddits and you can see redditors demonizing and generalizing a whole side of the political spectrum. I remember that world too. Trumpism etc is a response to this change, at a very abstract level (amongst other things, but also/mostly this). We really weren’t ready for the internet as a species, but some more so then others. Social media really took off in 2008, the same year Obama became president. Most people used it for food and baby pictures. Conservatives spent the next 8 years filling everyone’s news feed on Facebook with Hillary Clinton assassination squads and Obama grabbing guns and a million other things that never come to fruition. The majority of stable people saw it for what it was and resisted the rabbit hole. The rest found their people. In 2012, after a second defeat, the GOP famously did a party autopsy where they declared the only line for party survival was to become more inclusive and stop the xenophobic behavior towards gay people and foreigners. Fast forward through another 4 years of echo chambers and watching their adherents mold the party into the Klan rally you see today, they elected Trump. A man who is basically the amalgamation of all those early Facebook profiles.
