Pardon my ignorance but aside from the Chevron I’ll be there for you snoopy shirt and by the same token and heat is there any humidity as well? Just wondering if humidity makes it worse and its not even the 2030s, this is going to be fun unles we stop keep pumping co2 to the atmosphere and filing the pockets of oil producers Climate change is the biggest threat to mankind and needs to be treated on war-footing similar to how the west has mobilized against Russia. All of the anti-china messaging from the west, the anti-US messaging from China, and other divisive rhetoric is counterproductive to this larger purpose. Propaganda from fossil fuel lobbies against government attempts to invest in renewables is harmful to the point of criminality. We need to be unified against this, nothing good can come from alienating potential allies in it’s midst. If a country finds itself in the horrifying position of 50-100m+ refugees fleeing due to climate disaster, who is going to help? If a country finds itself in the horrifying position of 50-100m+ refugees fleeing due to climate disaster, who is going to help? The soldiers that will be sent out to place them in some kind of refugee camp or just flat out murder them. I would not expect humanity to be human in times of crisis. They can’t even be good to each other during good times in the first place. Desertification of the western US is speeding up rapidly, with many areas of the southwest US extending periods of long, long drought. They’re just finding out that the southwest US was only recently exiting a period of excessive rain compared to normal, so not only is the climate getting drier we’re also heating it faster. It’s not ok especially when you realize how much food is grown in the central valley of California, an arid area with not much rainfall every year. The mountains have been getting less snow, leading to less runoff, lower water reservoirs, which in turn means less water for agriculture. Yes, I understand you hate the Lannisters. Yes, you want to kill the Starks. Yes Dani, you basically want to cook everyone. NONE OF IT ALL MATTERS IF THE ZOMBIES BREACH THE WALL AND KILL ALL OF YOU CAN YOU FOCUS FOR A FUXKING SECOND??

Climate change is kinda in the Chevron I’ll be there for you snoopy shirt and by the same token and same spot. So much wasted effort on hate, war, capitalism, when our world is literally breaking apart and pacing towards a future where there won’t be a future. We need to enact de-growth – we need to force companies, countries, continents and mankind to actively participate in fixing the mess we’ve made/been given. But it requires those in power to relinquish some of that – it requires money to be spend not on making more but on making right, and … yeah… At least in the novel, changes are eventually made after this nightmare. I’m not feeling so optimistic, but I guess we’ll see. But at least stockholders are not suffering a drop in dividends, nor corporations in overall profits, and that is what truly matters in this world. My Pakistani mate said when he lived there the electricity (or AC?) was only allowed to run a couple hours a day before it’s cut off by the govt????
