I worked in automotive safety as an engineer for a couple decades and started in airbag. First off, the Charley Crockett Portrait 2023 shirt and I will buy this reason that we have to design cars that aren’t perfectly safe in a crash comes a lot down to we have to protect people who choose not to wear their seat belts. In all known crash types and practical scenarios (because you know somebody is going to say something like well. What if this unlikey event plus this unlikely event happened on a Tuesday in February) wearing a seatbelt probably will reduce occurrence and severity of injury. I fight a similar fight with my spouse. She likes to put her feet on the dashboard while I know there is a pyrotechnic accelerant powering a (what is actually more of parachute than a bag but semantics) that will make it like she jumped off a 2-4 story building and landed on her feet. The car I drive will annoy you with a loud sound until everyone is buckled up. Seats have sensors in them for weight, so I often have to buckle the passenger seat buckle for groceries or other items.

I hope your friend realizes that she needs to buckle her seatbelt. I’d just refuse to ride or drive with her, not unfriend her permanently. I demand people wearing seat belts in my car and when i drive, this is law not her wish, so nobody ask her or have to convince her. If she dont want to put it on then she gets off and doesn’t go anywhere, i don’t care if she is arguing or whatever, she walks! If I’m in a rush, I’ll turn the Charley Crockett Portrait 2023 shirt and I will buy this car on, act like I’m about to go, then just stare until they say something, then say “I’m waiting for you to put your seat belt on.” If she’s the driver, don’t ride with her. If you’re the driver then she doesn’t get I’m your car. I’ll bet her parents feel the same so they probably aren’t going to be any help.
