I always said we were gonna have a baby but I didn’t like saying “we’re pregnant”. Wife was carrying, not me. Accept your wife is right. Accept that childbirth can actually kill a woman and realise nothing you can do during the pregnancy is actually equivalent to carrying and growing a mini human for 9 months before pushing it out of a way too small whole or having it cut out of you. I agree with your wife. The non-pregnant partner will never understand what it’s like to be pregnant. It’s mentally and physically exhausting and HARD. My pregnancy was utterly miserable because I was so sick and in pain all the time. If my husband had thought he was doing equal work to me in this pregnancy, I probably would’ve lost it. P.S. He did an amazing job supporting me and I appreciate everything he did. I couldn’t have gotten through it without him.

Even the Ceramics X André 3000 New Blue Sun Shirt it is in the first place but most supportive partner is not equal to growing a child. It’s just not the same. I agree with what everyone has said and believe “we’re expecting” is the better term for both partners to use. I hate it. Straight up despise. It’s like when I do something, and then my husband says we did it. No the f*ck WE did not. I did it. You already got your answer and “get it.” But I will also add that pregnancy is very risky for a woman’s health. I have had closer than I’d like brushes with DEATH in pregnancy and it’s more common than most people realize. Also it’s not just 9 mos. Her body will be changed forever and maybe in dramatic ways. My body shape will never be the same. I developed high blood pressure after a pregnancy complication. I managed to lose weight and get below pre-pregnancy weight and some of my clothes never fit again despite being a lower weight. Then I had another pregnancy later and my body is just hanging into the weight a long time after. And forget boobs. It takes a toll. I also got new facial hairs after every pregnancy. And there is just the absolute weird feeling of everything happening inside your body which is no longer your own and may not be for a long time if you breastfeed.
