It messes up our charting so bad I hate it sm it’s prob one of our most understaffed nights a year bc of how much of a hassle it is :/ I worked at a security company that didn’t pay you for that hour back because “it didn’t exist”. Good ol’ Ameritex Air ambulance pilot here, we can only work a maximum of 12 hours per shift (CAA Regulations). So we had 1 hour of no ambulance cover that night. Where I worked, the hourly folks got paid an hour of OT when the clocks turned back and got paid for 8 hours when the clocks moved forward. Our shops were a zoo for weeks with senior guys and gals switching shifts to gain the free hour in the spring, and then switching back in two weeks to go back to first shift.
