Travis Ryan continues to positively surprise me with his vocals. holy fuck I can’t wait for full release. This is exactly how I feel. I do hope the rest of the album is more like this track though – Cattle Dear Santa I try to be good but I guess I take after my mama shirt exemplifies what I love about newer Cattle Decapitation. Didn’t hold back on the disgustingness either though! I feel like the production is at least a little bit fatter than their previous 2 releases, and the bass actually has some punch behind it.

They killed man. I heard this new song on XM Liquid Metal earlier tonight at work. Cattle Dear Santa I try to be good but I guess I take after my mama shirt kills man. I got one too, that was a fucking amazing deal. And an amazing show, I was lucky enough to be front at the center of the stage, so I basically had Travis Ryan screaming in my face the whole time. Definitely the best show I’ve ever been to! I too was front and center for summer slaughter. All 11 bands. I was exhausted after.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like they’re leaning into those black metal influences even more than they were on the last full length; Cattle Dear Santa I try to be good but I guess I take after my mama shirt super interesting to hear in among all the brutal death/grind elements of their music too. I don’t know how I feel about this but I gotta admit, this is very unique. This is my new favorite Cattle song. They packed all the elements of why I love them into one song with some insane surprises as well. Been blasting CD so much since I discovered them about a year and a half ago. So excited for this release and this song just confirms that I made a good choice by pre-ordering the vinyl.
