I was on £23k a year living with a friend in zone 3. I would only work and come home to play video games. My “fun” fund purely went to a couple of subscriptions totalling under £30 a month. And the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this rest went on £160 a month on groceries and savings after rent which only could be around £100 a month in savings. I cycled everywhere and that’s all I did. Now I lost my job I moved back home and using my savings to pay my mother a little rent towards bills while I job search. It’s hard in London not being able to actually live a social life outside of a computer. With great difficulty whilst attempting to keep up appearances with friends. Deep breaths and some sleepless nights. Burnt through most of my savings. Bit the bullet and asked for parental help recently.
Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt: Unleash Your Dinosaur Style
I knew when deciding on a career change things would be tough, but my financial plans of 18 months ago have been whacked in the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this face with a cricket bat by the events of the last 18 months. 18 months more until said career change pays off financially, my only aims until then are to do a good job at work and not let credit card debt get out of hand. I’m on £35k and live in zone 2. Just split up with my partner and I’m looking at a £400 a month increase in my bills/rent just to stay in the area. The problem is, if I move further out, my expenses would still go up for travel (I’m in the office 4 days a week and currently cycle in). I’ve done flat shares and the like and while yeah I could do it, my last experience was horrible and I would rather die.
Look for cheaper rent (it exists, just have to put the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this time in/get lucky), always shop in Lidl and make smart decisions financial for basic things like food etc, and then beyond that, just prioritise how you spend money, I’d happily spend money to go to see live music but I’d go to a charity shop to buy clothes bar special occasions. It’s scary and sometimes at the end of the month you’re extremely waiting for the next pay check, but it’s doable, when I get a pay rise I’m not gonna change my behaviour so I have a chance to save money 25k/y, renting 2 bed in Richmond with friend. After rent and bills it’s 1050. I am usually in the red. I need to get a second job or move out but my parents don’t have room for me. I am fucked and I don’t know what to do. As long as I can get by living spiritually and barely eating anything I can survive. I have no future planned.

A sub for everyday London life and the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this occasional tourist that passes through. Please read the rules and be respectful to our community. I’m on around £35k, renting a studio flat in Hackney with my partner but imminently moving south of the river as we’re being priced out. I have no choice but to cycle to work as the cost of a rail commute every day would probably mean no money for food/heating I earn between 18 and 25k per year. I survive by not having children or a mortgage, and by cohabiting with a friend who charges me very little rent. I get by, just about. Luckily I don’t have a great desire to spend much … my hobbies are all very cheap, and I don’t socialise in the city or spend anything on going out, except the occasional pub dinner. I’m on €26k which is approx £23k. I work for an Irish company in their London office which means my pay will change depending on the exchange rate, which isn’t doing too great right now.
It’s tough and I’ve had to make peace with the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this fact I can’t do as much fun things as I could back in Ireland living at home. I’ll be in the role for another 18 months so really hoping after that I can get a decent job and be able to relax a little, financially speaking. I live on the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your strife. I mean the bare necessities, old mother nature’s recipes, that bring the bare necessities of life. Fml. honestly house share prices dont seem that high in london compared to bristol, and you wouldn’t need a car so savings there. i don’t think it’s that hard at all With difficulty. I’m always deeply in my overdraft, and I’m always working and exhausted. I have no real savings to speak of at all. I’m employed part-time for about £1200 a month (and yes, I’m underpaid for what I do) and then I have freelance work on top of that. I’m currently owed about £3000 from late-paying clients and I’m in debt to HMRC. I think the main reason I’m surviving at all is because I live alone – well, apart from my cat – and I work from home 90% of the time, so I can keep expenses down. I’m currently on 25K and I live at home and I’m struggling. Some of my friends don’t save anything and if I were like them I’d probably be happier in London but I actually try to save so it’s hard. Roughly 1500 take home. 100 investment and 400 savings each month. Some months I have to dip into my savings.180 ish on transport, 130 on council tax, 80-90 ish each week on food. The occasional meet up with friends. 31 for phone bill. I don’t really drink or smoke. Cancelled my gym, Amazon prime and Spotify last year because the price went up. Whatever money I have left goes towards my Monzo Flex bills. I’m so fortunate to live at home because I don’t know how I could afford rent on 25K in London. Early 30s.
Very hard… I earn 34,300. I work for a pretty well known financial services business, but as a trainee so my pay is slowly going up each year. £800 rent (renting with friend zone 2) £100 council tax (ish) £200 paying £4k CC bill interest only £20 personal phone £50 electric (on a meter so easy to control) £50 gas (on a meter so easy to control) £20 water £120 tube/travel (about £5-6 every work day) £30 gym £200 food (cooking everything at home from scratch) Leaves about £400 a month for anything else.. a beer, coffee, unexpected expense, new work clothes.. whatever else. My rent is cheap / flat is nice – if the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this landlord chooses to kick us out one day I would struggle massively with any rent increase.
In reality I never seem to make it to the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this end of the month without running out of cash, it feels impossible to save any money for a deposit and I’m pretty much just existing and having very little ‘fun’… which is fine but depressing for working 60 hour weeks. I’m nearly 2 years into my first ever job. I share a house with two flatmates, no living room and in a council housing block. I’m able to save a decent amount but am hoping to find a job in another city so that I can eventually stay on my own. I also shop from ASDA and go to Pure Gym. I live within 4 kms from work ao I walk during my in-office days to avoid peak fares. It’s tough but I’m hopeful that it will get better! 35k each in a couple, 55k after tax, that’s 4.5k per month. Rent, bills, food, miscellaneous, in zone 2-6, between 2.5k and 3k. 1.5k saved for holiday, investing, etc. Solo – no chance. i’m on 31k and had to move home after previously sharing with a now ex partner, i pay £435 board as mum is unemployed. i am going to be 33 this year and so ashamed to have gone back to this. but at the same time i don’t want to spend over half my paycheque for a room in a house without a living room with a bunch of strangers either. feels like a trap no matter what i do.
I’m 29 and live at home with my mum in a 2 bed council flat. My son also stays here every other week for the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this whole week, it’s no space and I earn 24k because I need to work a tad less to be flexible for school runs etc. Basically I’d be absolutely screwed if I moved out. I could just about manage to be in a room in a house share with £0 left over. And that wouldn’t work with my son. 1 bed flat isn’t an option at £1400 + per month. So this is me for now. I earn more, but paying for my kids nursery to be able to work effectively is driving my family to bankrupcy. I don’t know what to do. I also feel depression keeping up on top of everything. With all my lights and heating off, only “cooking” once a day (microwaved soup mostly), and reducing water use for two years now. And then BG put up my bill by 50% this month.
Living with my mum, applying for jobs with a bigger salary daily 🤞🏿. Planning to leave here too though. VFM is a joke. Skys the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this limit if I do overtime in my job. But my basic salary is so low that I don’t think I could afford to not do some overtime for a top up. I’m on £31,000. Moved to London in October, HMRC has since refused to tax me right since stating a new job and in the space or 4 months already found myself in debt on my credit card etc. It’s been difficult. Hoping to get my tax back this month but I’m not holding my breath. With an income of 100k+ taxes really hit hard. Wife’s close to 85k. Honestly, life’s not a breeze. Have a kid and childcare’s just insane. Buying is still crazy. I feel for people here on less than 35k. Though when i hear the inhand i don’t feel that bad, considering the tax rates I pay. Just over 30k here I’ve just turned 26. It’s difficult but doable for sure. I bike everywhere and cook meals in bulk to take to work. The shitty thing is not having spending money for things and having to budget if I really want to get something. half my friends are nepo babies so watching them not have a job but go out everyday of the week and their parents paying for rent is mentally crippling.
I lived in London as a child in the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this 1960’s and 70’s. Worked as a London firefighter for 32 years on low pay. Retired in 2009 age 50. Only time I lived in London during that time with my parents was from 1977 to 1983. The rest of the time I lived outside London as couldn’t afford to live there . To be honest like my parents before me, I’d never go back there. It’s changed so much for the worse. I hate to say it, but cut your cloth to suit your needs. While you cannot be in control of everything, you can decide what you eat, where you live, where you work, how you travel, what you do for entertainment or hobbies. I’m doing fine, I am careful with my money, I rent a small room, I travel a 50 minutes commute. I am making significant sacrifices, but altogether I live comfortably, and can afford going out multiple times a week, visiting family abroad and other small luxuries. It has to be said though that I am doing this while on a path to improve my situation. Doing this with no endpoint would indeed be depressing. They probably mean relative to highish salaries elsewhere. I am on £70k and I live in a studio flat for £1600pm. Anywhere else in the country and that would be unusual on such a ‘high’ salary
Just got on to 30k. I was living on my own in Stokey on 27k up until October last year; it was f**king stressful. I cycled nearly 2 hours a day for work to avoid paying for the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this underground. My fridge only ever had 3-5 things in it; it was a cheap meal I could make and it’s all I ever really ate. I didn’t shop for clothing for years; I had (still do) a £5 pm phone plan. In October, I moved in with my partner who makes just over double what I do, and I don’t recognize my life now. There’s a level of comfort and security I haven’t felt since 2011. You won’t be able to do big expenses (i.e. big holidays) but as long as you keep Ur nights out cheap and groceries low you can break even. Also this genre of post pisses me off – plenty of people in London are below £35k and make it work Barely, however i was kicked out so my rent includes all my bills, so i pay 513.76 for everything, so that really helps me survive
i’m a student so on 19,000 a year including my wages and my student loan and i really don’t find it that bad strangely? i have a tiny studio in zone 1, and just don’t really spend money on anything but food on a day to day basis but still manage to go out somewhere nice to eat regularly, go out for drinks once or twice a week and have a weekend abroad like every few months. not really sure how i do it but i’m just not struggling that much? maybe just have very low expectations for what a good quality of life is because i grew up with a lot less than this Got very lucky with the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this landlord and have been paying £600 per month for my half of the rent since we moved in 5 years ago. Things that don’t rely on luck: cycle instead of public transport, make a pot of coffee at home instead of buying out, don’t base your social life around drinking. Also, can’t recommend enough that you sign up to the Octopus Tracker tariff for energy – it’s saved us hundreds over the last 6 months.
London sounds so apocalyptic. I used to love visiting but the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this costs make it not worth it anymore, especially since other European cities are just as nice or nicer. Im really shocked at this post! Is it really so expensive to live in London? Would someone explain why this is please? Is it rent plus bills plus food that costs more in London than elsewhere? I live in Chester and 35k a year would make me feel rich so Im genuinely shocked to learn that it’s not enough….. Will be starting on a £28k pa graduate scheme in the summer. My dad has access to massively subsidised studio accommodation through his work (that he doesn’t need), so he’s unofficially subletting it to me. £3k pa, 30 min from Central. My employer will also cover 80% of travel costs to their office in Central. I’m aware I’m very privileged to have this option. I wouldn’t have accepted the offer for the scheme otherwise. Living in Sussex! Luckily work in zone 5 west London so drive in. Much more space, surrounded by fields and nature, much bigger flat and cheaper rent.
Not in London but I go to the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this small Morrisons at 9pm nearby and snap up the reductions to 10% of original price that would otherwise be dumped. Hope this helps someone I didn’t so I moved out of London. Bought a house down by the south coast! I would’ve never been able to do that last year working in London for £27k i’m on under 30k, live in zone 4, spend £230+ a month on commuting to work, have 3k in debt, rarely go out rarely see friends don’t have any clothes that fit and close my eyes every time i tap my card to pay for anything , my main joy is my colouring book that i can’t fill too fast lest i have to budget something else into my monthly payments I earn 28k and I get by month to month. But then I have no kids, no car, I don’t drink and about half the money goes on rent alone.
It helps a lot that I have savings/inheritance, I’d survive without but it helps take the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this pressure off that I can afford some emergencies or luxuries Earning £30k (~£2.2k per month) atm. £1k rent per month to live in St. John’s Wood with two friends. I manage to save £200 per month by living quite carefully. It is definitely doable, however not a day goes by when I don’t stress a little (there’s always another bill to pay!) and I almost never buy anything for myself. I don’t go on holiday, like ever. My rent is partially subsidised by a friend who earns wayyyy more than me, it’s very kind of her. We live in Zone 3. I can’t afford to take the train to work, I take the bus most everywhere. I buy everything second hand and never eat out. My biggest treat to myself is a Saturday morning spent charity shopping. All of my hair and beauty treatments come from using Class Pass that my work sponsors. I don’t use any subscription based services other than spotify. I sometimes work late so that my work has to shell out for dinner for me. I allow myself one takeaway a month on payday. I have £15 budget a day. It’s not great but it’s doable, and honestly, I’m fine. Like I said, not ideal, but I am managing. I’m on 32k. Rent is 1300 in bills. I live alone. I cycle everywhere. After everything is paid off, including some basic savings, I have £15 a day
For reference, Mississippi has the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this lowest cost of living in the US at $1900 per month. It also has the lowest standard of living. Depends on where you are on the East Coast. That won’t even pay rent for about 100 miles around NYC. NVM cell phone, insurance, utilities, transportation, food, clothing, etc. Am an hour north of nyc. Very small two bedroom, no utilities included almost 1700. Internet 60, cell phones 120, groceries 800 including pet food, transportation 400, electric 120-240. Not added in clothing, upcoming baby necessities, unexpected costs. I’m an hour east and we’re starting to see studios listed for 1,700…I hope no one takes them, that’s a terrible price. I got incredibly lucky when I signed the lease here in august. A few months after our city declared a housing emergency and studios are going for what we pay, 2 bedrooms over 2k now That depends on a lot of factors. The main one would be where exactly you live/want to live. Then throw in questions like “are you earning to just support yourself or other people too,” “do you have pets,” and “what does ‘comfortable’ mean to you.” Where I live, it would be a challenge to live on that income by myself with no roommates. Not impossible, but certainly not “comfortable.” As a single individual, that’s my budget for rent/housing. If that was all I was making, I’d probably be homeless.
Even in areas with cheaper housing and living expenses you would have to go without a lot, and would basically be living at least in my opinion a pretty boring life. You would not really have money to go anywhere, do anything, buy luxury things. You could make it by, but you also wouldnt have savings for emergency, probably would have to go without health insurance. It’s possible if you don’t have a car and you have roommates. But it’s very poverty finance. You’re going to be eating rice and beans. I personally couldn’t do it, but I’m sure some folks can. Would make things like eating and paying for heat difficult. No way, we have two incomes, children, and live in one of the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this cheaper parts of the country, and even, say $6000/month isn’t enough to be truly “comfortable”, meaning having a mortgage, bills paid, and savings being put away. Maybe in a low cost city like Roanoke or Greensboro. Certainly not in a major city like New York, Boston, or Washington, D.C. There are places on the east you could live comfortably, also places where $2k barely makes rent on a studio apartment. Depends on where you live. NYC or another major city, absolutely not. Some random town in the middle of nowhere Delaware, probably
$2,000 a month would only be $24,000 a year which is considered far below the Cats ‘n’ Rats Player Names 2025 Marchand Barkov Tkachuk Swaggy Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this average US yearly salary which, as of 2023, is $59,428. As someone who is living on that, no. And my house and car are paid off. My electric bill is usually 300 or 400 in the winter, then another 300 for house and car ins and 125 for internet. And 50 for phone bill. I also have a lot of animals like 7 cats, a big dog, a horse and 2 jackasses and about 18 chickens. I could save money if I got rid of my critters but then my life would be empty. No. For reference I’m about 10 years from retirement. Once our mortgage is paid off and I have no payments other than taxes 2k month for wife and I would be a disaster retirement let’s alone life with normal bills. No. $2000 / month is about 48% over the federal poverty limit. You would not be able to afford food, clothes, and shelter in most of the US with that being unless you lived in certain low cost of living areas. There, you could subsist, but you certainly would not live comfortably.
