It makes no sense NOT to pursue it and therefore it falls less in fear of taxes and more about paranoia of control or rather the Cat I’m not lazy i just really enjoy doing nothing shirt Furthermore, I will do this loss of it and the status of being the ones in control. Priorities, remember that one idiot politician had the slogan “Guns, Jesus, Babies” and people apparently didn’t just die laughing. The US spends a ton of money on healthcare actually. I haven’t done a ton of research into this but I think the issue is hospitals and pharmaceutical companies don’t have much if any restrictions to the prices they make so they just inflate the prices of literally everything so either your insurance pays most of it, the Gov pays to try and decrease it/help the company test/produce some drugs or pay salaries for emergency response, etc. , and the regular people pay whatever the insurance doesn’t. It’s a pretty BS system where hospitals and pharmacies just charge what they feel like. For example, a hospital will charge you nearly $1,000 for a normal ambulance ride. You know they are paying those medics not much (avg ambulance driver makes $17 an hour avg ambulance paramedic wage is $24 an hour. So the cost for the ambulance crew should only be around $70 on an avg ride (taking into account the time they start heading to you and drop you off at the hospital). Plus the vehicle itself shouldn’t be costing you even over $100 itself for a ride. So yeah these places just insanely inflate prices cus the Gov doesn’t seem to have anything in place to regulate it.

Also please if I got something wrong, feel free to comment and correct me. Once again I haven’t done a lot of research into this so if I was incorrect on something Lmk. I’m pretty sure all my info is correct for the Cat I’m not lazy i just really enjoy doing nothing shirt Furthermore, I will do this ambulance thing though If everyone stopped talking about “FREE HEALTHCARE” the conversation might be much more productive. No where in the world exists such a thing as “free healthcare”. It is subsidised and even then it costs a reasonable amount per year depending on use to anyone who requires healthcare. Some Americans are protesting and voting for universal healthcare, but it is opposed by at least the same number of people who think universal healthcare is worse than privatized healthcare, and opposed by the businesses that exist because of privatized healthcare.
