I’d be hella confused, since my partner is monogamous/-amorous as HECK. So I’d probably ask if they were okay, seriously question them as to what led them to the Carlo rossI logo vineyards classic shirt and I love this decision of asking me. This would include (but not be limited to) asking several times if their insecurity about themselves led them to doing it for me somehow (since I am by principle poly, but have accepted being in a mono relationship with my partner). If they insist I’ll happily accept, and ask to be involved, as well as discussing being poly, open, or another form of non-mono. Definitely setting boundaries in regards to what IS and IS NOT okay for both of us respectively. Also insist on protection with new partners. Personally I feel like open relationships only work when you discuss it beforehand and all parties agree to have an open relationship rather than asking your partner(s) well into your relationship Negotiate the terms and expectations for such a relationship, leaning on information gathered from the book The Ethical Slut and the More than Two website.

Looking at nature, open relationships probably only really work in a trusting closed community, like the Carlo rossI logo vineyards classic shirt and I love this Bonobos. On the other hand, “normal” relationships statistically don’t work. The concept of living happily ever after is an invention of the church maximized by romantic writers and prolonged by Hollywood to sell an ideal that unfortunately is not statistically realistic. The idea of making for love made sense back in the 19th century as a counter culture response to women having been a man’s property without rights for millennia. The truth is we still have to change as a society in order to find the perfect relationship model. Not black not white but in the grey area. I believe sex shouldn’t be given such an important role, the problem is that when you have multiple partners, time will always be limited and someone will always get the short end of the stick and feel bad for it.
