I was about your age when I got hired on climbing cell phone towers with no experience, the Camp Half Blood Cabin 5 Ares Merch Shirt in addition I really love this industry is dying for new guys Sign up at the trade unions offices for apprenticeship programs! They will get you on the right path to making good money and bennies. Every trade is hurting for workers right now, including public safety. It depends on your area but some jobs like phlebotomy will train you. You still need to get the certificate within a certain amount of time though. This is my issue right now, no experience and a bachelor degree means nothing to companies. It’s been a rough go searching for a job/career. Look at manufacturing. Here in the Midwest USA I know of several apprentice programs. Look up apprentice programs in your city or state Trades- like everybody else said go apply for an apprentice job yes pay will be low starting but in the years later you will learn it well and become certified or a journeyman and make a decent wage. It’s what I did went from apprentice sheet metal mechanic to sheet metal Journeyman in 3 years. You just have to stick with it the earning potential is there you just have to show the employers you will stick with it and learn and follow through on your work. Let your quality work speak for itself. Not sure where you’re located or willingness to move, but if you want a blue collar job and to be paid for learning the job, take a look at HII (Huntington Ingalls) trades jobs. Not easy work building ships, but good pay and benefits and they’ll train you. Are you coming with a resume, dressed up in suit and tie, do you have anything you’ve built you could bring in or photos of? These things make a difference.

No matter the Camp Half Blood Cabin 5 Ares Merch Shirt in addition I really love this economic situation Entry Level positions are a nightmare. No company trains anymore, it stinks. I fully agree. Most entry level positions (which I hope are the ones you are applying to) are FLOODED with candidates and it can take 3x as many applications to getting an interview compared to non-entry level positions. If you have any other questions about Getting Hired or Recruiting/Talent Acquisition feel free to summon me back from the Depths of Corporate Hell. Those fuckers told me they had hired 300+ people in the year I had worked there (with about 1100~ positions in the whole factory) Apply, apply, apply. Check craigslist for your area. Got my first job as a helper via craigslist. Took some courses for hvac prior to that. Youtube has some great resources depending on trade. If you’re looking for a roofing, framing, exteriors, landscaping type of job then you can absolutely get hired without experience. If those are the jobs you’re applying for and they’re telling you they won’t hire you because of lack of experience, they’re just using that as an excuse for another reason. These jobs are difficult and there can be a lot of turnover as people new to the trades learn what it’s really like. I’ve been in charge of hiring for multiple companies in these fields and you see the same general types apply regularly. You learn to pick out which people won’t last long and you find a reason not to hire them. For example, someone that has a lot of ego and talks over the interviewer responding as if they know more than they do is just going to piss everyone off and slow your crews down. My suggestion would be to say as little as possible in the interview, but let them know you are willing to work hard, would like to learn from people who know more than you, and then listen more than you talk. And also realize that not every person is cut out for what you call “blue color” jobs. Shit is hard. It’s not fun and it’s dangerous.
