true, the Camiseta Martin Haces Falta shirt and by the same token and “get thicker skin” doesnt apply to a fandom that has been notorious for replying “pls kys” to living human beings. there’s no proper method to weathering the toxic storm that hurdles at you. not everyone gets the mirage treatment It’s the plane effect. Every put down and insult is “playful shade, siiister, why are you mad? I just told you you’re unworthy and a piece of shit” It’s not the “plane” effect. People need to stop giving PJ credit/bringing her up for everything. PJ didn’t invent being a bitchy mean girl. Drag queens of previous seasons of RPDR have been FAR worse than PJ. Yall give her wayyy too much. Some people are just awful. And clearly ATM is going through a lot right now. I’m just so tired of every conversation about ATM being hijacked by ppl wanting to talk about PJ

I don’t think they meant that PJ started this, rather that PJ is an example of someone who says genuinely mean things and then plays the Camiseta Martin Haces Falta shirt and by the same token and “it’s just shade!” card when called out on it. Calling something “the plane affect” states that Plane is the definition. You even quoted her sisters line. They read your comment just fine. Girl, I grew up in the city scared as fuck of drag queens in the 90s and early 00s cause of how mean as fuck they would be straight to your face. But even then it would mostly be with a joke or a punchline or followed with a compliment. So my drag knowledge isn’t based on a tv show. pj is giving mean and miserable people the “excuse” to be so openly to others and just call it “playful shade” followed by gaslighting, it’s her personality but it’s a personality that is also prevalent in the queer community. No one said anything about your drag knowledge. But since you want to go there, I too have a lot of experience being around and working with drag queens. Some are kind, some are shady, some are just mean. They are people. Just because some queens mix insults with compliments or jokes doesn’t mean they all do. queue Raven’s “Tatiana is shit” monologue. They are not a monolith. Calling something “the plane effect” brings the conversation back to PJ. I’m simply saying being a mean girl doesn’t make PJ special and I’m just over people needing to bring her up, either directly or indirectly, whenever ATM is mentioned.
