Yeah I remember in college people and friends got pizza delivered to their dorm or the Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this library. It’s not really that hard. A campus is basically like a small town. Honestly, thinking about it, I really disliked how restrictive high school was, although I get why it is restrictive. At my college you can get DoorDash, but they don’t come on campus. They wait at the service entrance/loading docks, you have to meet them for your food. It works for small institutions like ours but larger ones would be awful. Our dining option is closed on Fridays and during the summer semester so you either bring your lunch or have it delivered. It’s a workaround. No one in their right mind chooses DD over the cafe when it’s open though. They have pretty awesome food and it’s cheap as hell. I was the very first class to attend a new high school, so I never had upperclassmen. It was just us as freshmen and then the new classes were added each year until the school was full. They figured out a lot of rules and whatnot as we went, it was a unique situation for everybody. Few weeks into the first year a kid ordered Jimmy John’s delivery for lunch, no big deal and met the guy at the front door. Apparently it was a big deal for the administration, principal flipped a lid at the kid and and called a quick assembly at the end of that day to give us a speech about why that was unacceptable and can never happen again. weird how a principle would freak out about unknown adults sneaking onto campus to meet children. almost like the law says every single adult that interacts with students needs to be background checked

Nobody snuck on campus they pulled up to the Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this front door which was very close to a widely trafficked public road and met a 15 year old, not some small child. That’s plenty old enough that they’re spending time without adult supervision in public sometimes outside of school hours. You don’t know what’s been delivered and put in those packages. It is a liability issue if things’ slip by like drugs, contraband’s etc. There weren’t any bag searches or anything like that to go to school each morning, if a kid wanted to smuggle contraband in they wouldn’t have needed to use a food delivery driver at lunch to do it School probably has next to no liability. But they want to control the environment for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt

Yeah, some rando in an old beat up car wearing a trenchcoat, wandering around. “It’s ok for me to be here, I’m carrying a burrito!” At our school (which is probably just about the Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this most secure school in the US for a couple of reasons), they just have to sit there and wait in their car at security like any other guest who is not expected. The kid has to walk out to the security booth and get the food. Many of the drivers just leave the food with the security. They are good guys who work well with kids. If I worked with them, they would have right to test the food for poison. If cafeterias are like they were back in the day, it makes sense they’d want an exclusivity deal on industrial waste disposal.

They’re so extreme we even have problems with it for alumni functions. A friend of mine…who is also a police chief got he drink taken away because he went from one event into another event on campus that was being serviced by a different division of the Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this SAME PARENT COMPANY last year lol I worked for a company where most of their buildings had fancy coffee machines, but this one building was run by a catering company so no free coffee or tea for anyone, at best you had a cheap walmart $15 kettle to share. To make it worse is they of course did everything as cheap as possible, the milk and cream they would use for the coffee and tea was spoiled half the time. I would almost always had to get it re-done because of shit floating in it.

Because of the Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this location for me to go anywhere else, I would have to walk out a single door that only one person can use at a time, walk across the parking lot to my car, drive to a place, order, wait for it, come back, park, and walk in through a single person door and be back at my desk in 30 minutes or less. Another company i was at, had a small Chinese shopping center on the other side of the parking lot, lots of cheap baked goods, or slightly more expensive hot counters. Still cheaper then the cafeteria onsite and more tasty. One day a fence went up forcing people to walk around which made it into an extra 5 minute walk each way which is a 1/3rd of our lunch time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the catering company was behind it
I went to my highschool to pick up my diploma like a few years later just from administration and was ushered out the Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this door and told it would be in the mail, it was but idk what happened the first time and they weren’t answering my calls so it was kinda necessary. A lot of the schools near where I live have just a straight up like plastic table or bin right in the front entrance of the school where delivery drivers drop food and then it’s up to the kid to make their way up there and pick it up This seems to be a pretty good system and I’ve never had a kid accuse me of not leaving their food or something It’s a policy and PR concern. McDonald’s got a lot of shit for obesity. They just didn’t want them ploughing unhealthy food into kids at school to be a headline or something a politician capitalises on It’s the same reason they got rid of their playplace, happy meals, clown (RonaldMcdonald) etc. Luring in kids with toys and gimmicks is fucked up for a business that is responsible for an obesity epidemic the likes of which have never been seen in history. It’s not something they chose to stop doing out of some good gesture of faith, no. These disgusting practices were put to rest by governmental policies to stop fast food marketing to children.
Still they exist inside childrens hospitals and school campuses. Still they build directly across the Cam Thomas American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this street from every school and bus stop. Still their ads are targeted towards poor people and they are located in low income areas. Mcdonalds will always be the soulless megacorporation fast food giant that creates it’s own customers through force. Oh shit. Is this why fast food chains have become way more office-y looking? I remember being a kid and seeing all the bright colors and the stuff for kids. Now they’re just bland. Get your food and get out. That’s more a consecuence of the “Corpo-Minimalism” aesthetic trend that started during the late 2000’s. Basically, people (specially older millenials which were starting to get a position in the work-force) didn’t want to take their meals in a “children’s box”, and the rising popularity of Chipotle, Starbucks, and Panera, with their more “pragmatical, modern, tidy and minimalist” approach, were a proof of that. That’s why not only McDonald changed the visual design of their restaurants, but also renovated its menu, adding things like “Deluxe” and “Signature” line, salads and grilled chicken, the McCafé stations, I think they expanded their breakfast options as well.
