i was always the Cali Vibes Feb 17 2024 Marina Green Park Long Beah Shirt and I love this opposite, loved the food of my fam/people make and being raised on tradition American food had me always lead the clean plate club and would even clean every other plate if anyone else couldnt 😛 I agree with you. I never forced my child to eat. He knew though that if he didn’t eat the meal at meal time, I would save it for him for when he did get hungry. That way, he couldn’t try to substitute snacks for real food later. I also never made him eat food I knew he really didn’t like. He ate loads of vegetables, so why force him to eat green beans, which he hated? Lol yeah I never understood this. I get the whole, eat the good food thing vs crap. And I also am not making you another dinner later, this is dinner. But if you’re full, and you aren’t gonna say you’re hungry later, ok, you’re done then. When I was a kid my grandparents lived the depression and I was raised by their kids. So there was a lot of, you better not waste any of that. My take now is generally, take what you want but eat what you take. But even with that, if my daughter says she’s full, then she’s full.

I dunno, most people I see just drop it and if they starve for a few hours its tough shit. Next meal, they aren’t so stupid with their food. Because some kids straight up won’t eat at all unless they’re forced one way or another. The “forcing” is getting them to eat a reasonable/adequate portion that should satisfy needs, not literal abuse. Some kids literally will not eat. Like they just won’t eat anything but drink juice or some sweets. I think it’s just leftover (pun intended) from older generations where more people in the Cali Vibes Feb 17 2024 Marina Green Park Long Beah Shirt and I love this community went without food. Food insecurity is definitely a traumatic experience. It is still sad to throw away food when so many people go without. But 99% of that food can’t reach them, so it’s not really a thing anymore. It should never be an excuse to be hard on a child. Just save the leftovers. Then suddenly when it is time for dinner they have 3 bites and say they aren’t hungry or because they are in a rush to get back to gaming.
