The fetus is nothing but a parasite on the Caleb Martin American professional basketball player for =Miami Heat T-Shirt moreover I love this mother, if I can live without life support from the mother, then it’s a life. So, historically speaking this is mostly because of Jerry Falwell Sr, who founded the Moral Majority. At the time Christians were generally highly divided on political issues and a lot of churches were completely neutral. Cue Falwell who wanted to rally protestants against “Catholics and Jews” and the founding of the moral majority of which they used anti-abortion rhetoric as one of their unifying cause by playing on christians’ heartstrings with the ‘murder babies’ ideas, despite the Bible itself being pretty much completely silent on the issue, if not tolerant of abortions. The crazy thing is the bible doesn’t actually say anything about abortion. Although there are religious texts that say that suggest that the fetus is just water for the first 40 days and also that life begins at first breath which would actually contradict current pro-life beliefs. But most religious people dont have a clue about the bible they just follow whatever line their cult leader is pushing.
