Anyway, at times I’ve felt fine about it but in the Buster Keaton In The Cameraman Shirt so you should to go to store and get this last couple of months it’s really getting me down. My main issues are: I’m the age where every person I know is getting married/having babies and indeed like I have less and less in common with my friends. I’m not jealous of them as such, but I wish that it didn’t affect my social life as much. It’s REALLY expensive living alone and paying all the bills on my own. The other day I did a back of the envelope calculation as to how much additional rent I’ve paid since my big breakup (not including bills) and it would almost be enough for a deposit to buy a flat. As it is I’ll be stuck in the rental trap forever I think. I am actually dating someone at the moment but for various logistical reasons it’s unlikely we would be able to live together for a long time so I just have to accept this (I don’t want to flat share with strangers) I’m a pretty sociable person but I’m starting to find it a bit tiring to go to every wedding/party/event alone. It’s so nice having the security of knowing whatever happens, you’ll have the comfort of your favourite person to retreat to.

M30. Been single for 5 years. Not going to lie I’ve been pretty dysfunctional ever since with not a lot of autonomy. Ie I naturally wait for other people to make plans and had no motivation to do anything by or for myself. I put way too much pressure on finding someone (mostly via apps) that I just got depressed and hit a bit of a wall last hear. Since I turned 30 I committed to myself to get on and live life. Ive since done a load of traveling solo, I’ll go to gigs on my own, cinema, etc. I think normalising doing these things solo to myself has really helped me turn a corner. I do still want a life partner, a lot. Not sure I’ll ever feel complete until the Buster Keaton In The Cameraman Shirt so you should to go to store and get this . But working on being happy with one’s self (as clique as it is!) can’t be understated. Having a bad day today actually. I went on OLD yesterday, god alone knows why and was almost immediately message by a nice guy. And I just knew that I really can’t date atm and felt nothing but relief at deleting the conversation. My profile is finally deleted. Lonely, but can’t make myself start from scratch again. I’d rather be alone and it sucks.
