Man when I was in college living in the Burgundy Washington Commanders 2024 Team Draft Tri-Blend Shirt But I will love this dorms we always had people taking facetime calls in the shared bathrooms. Like what the fuck was wrong with those people? It depends. A gym near me openly allows livestreaming and filming, however when you sign up they explicitly mention this and make sure you are fully aware when you sign your paperwork. As long as there is proper disclosure one way or the other, I don’t see a problem with it. If its a gray area at a specific gym then they need to update their policy. People can choose where they want to go. If I was a gym owner I would have two separate areas within the space – one allows filming and the other doesn’t. Let the patrons decide. Nobody needs to film every lift, people managed very successful gym experiences before camera phones were ubiquitous. Once a week is plenty to do a DIY check on form. Good idea in concept but that would screw everyone who works Fridays or are otherwise unavailable to go to the gym on Fridays. Honestly. I feel like most people that go to the gym don’t care about people filming cause it rarely happens or it really doesn’t bother anyone at all. As obnoxious as the rage bait content creators we see online are, I’ve yet to actually run into one of them in real life. Most people I’ve met filming in the gym are literally just doing so to critique their form, and a lot of them compete in some form or another, so I really don’t blame them for doing so. They keep their camera well within the vicinity of the workout they’re doing and it’s easy to not intrude on their frame or feel like I am being filmed without my consent.

I’m really curious about how many of the people with strong opinions in favor of a ban ever actually go to a gym, and what percentage of those that do do more than just cardio. This, people asking it for it be banned probably reddit mods that don’t train anyway. Usually peeps are filming for form but then again I don’t care what they are filming for, I’m there for my workout. All these Redditors raging over nothing as usual
