I think only a small amount of people *nowadays* are suffering from that problem, I am a guy and in our household my mom always tries to give equal work to everyone, lets say my sister cuts veggies then I would be the one to bring them, she goes to the terrace to dry the clothes and put them under the sun, I will be the one to take the buckets of clothes up and bring them back after drying, if there’s anything to lift then they ask me to do so too, all this is done because none of us feel like they are being looked down, and I think many families are starting to do so unlike earlier generations, it has always been this way where the man works and earns money whereas the women do the work at home it was just all the more efficient, if you are a working woman you both can share the works at home, cooking for them, feeding them, washing their clothes is not being a slave its being efficient and sharing your work, I am not saying your parents are right but please do not think of it that way, if your brother is sitting all the time and nobody is giving work for him that is an actual bias which needs to go away, its also a possibility that your brother is much younger than you and usually our parents spoil younger kids I can’t say much more without any context and if they are not letting you study and work that is also a big problem which I don’t have enough knowledge to give you legal advice
