Women are socialized to be meek and not ask for things or be a “burden”, so this is pretty common. My wife is a very progressive person who doesn’t buy into gender roles at all, and even she does this occasionally. Or maybe he just realizes it isn’t his responsibility to take in her groceries? How entitled does this lady have to be that she thinks other people are obligated to offer her help. Or help with the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Graphic shirt and by the same token and kid. There’s nothing to help with in that situation that I’d be comfortable offering to do unprompted. Hey Alex! I hope you don’t mind me calling you Alex, the property manager gave me your name. Let me grab little Timmy or Sheila off your shins while you pack the groceries in, or better yet let me grab those groceries and I’ll haul them into your apartment for you.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Graphic shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

It’s the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Graphic shirt and by the same token and “unprompted” part that’s important to me. I always felt like if you’re not immediate family, you’re not going to assume it’s okay (nor should you need to). Right??? If he had offered, she’d be writing an article about her creepy ass neighbor who oversteps boundaries and makes her afraid to have as a neighbor lol people like this lady will always find a way to turn things into a chance to tell others “poor me/you don’t know how hard it is to be me” That would start the same “I’m a solo mother by choice”, but instead finish with “those sexist neighbours don’t think a woman can do it alone and that she needs a male around” Yep, this is the reason I would help. Doesn’t mean all or most would make such a claim, but it’s a risk I’m not willing to take. Even if there was no proof or conviction just the accusation could cause long-term problems.
