If you have no family, take the BTS 10th Anniversary Bangtan Boys T-Shirt but in fact I love this $200k job and keep moving higher. You can handle stress with nothing else going on. What else are you going to do with your life. Also, no one cares about FIRE in a career guidance forum. That stuff is so much nonsense. Retire early to watch TV all day and “travel” while living like a bum, so you can make what little money you have last for the last 40 years of your life. “You can handle stress with nothing else going on”. Why would anyone want to add a bunch of stress to their life and only for 30k. Let’s also not forget she has “nothing” going on NOW but a year from now she could be married or get an illness any any other myriad of things that would then really compound that extra stress. 30k is not life changing enough when you are making 170k to take on the extra stress and changes she would need to make. OP could accept the job, it not be as bad as they think currently when comparing it to their “comfortable job.” A year from now could also look like OP hitting 1 year at $30k more and being offered a promotion to mid 200’s.

The OP just wants a challenge! Some people don’t appreciate how demoralizing a job can be when you are feeling that you aren’t doing anything. I have a job like that. It sucks. Pay is great and no direct reports. But they work doesn’t take more than 1 hour a day. I am in HR and doing like 2 to 3 hours a day. Its not as fulfilling as you think especially if you like challenges and seek growth. I understand, I just left a job where I had 2 hours of work remote and nothing else, no growth or challenge. However, I was only making 44k and have a 22k student loan to pay off and couldn’t afford anything while living alone. If I was making a lot more money that would be nice. Totally understand the BTS 10th Anniversary Bangtan Boys T-Shirt but in fact I love this lack of fulfillment though. I just hope to make enough so I can pay off my loan and buy a house.
