1/136 chance of experiencing a school shooting between prek and 12th grade, roughly. It seems way too high, I feel like I must be making a mistake, but I don’t think so. Am I? 25 more repliesA lot of the Bruh Did You Even Read The Directions 2 T-Shirt Besides,I will do this shootings are more things where a shooting or fight or whatever took place at a school rather than “School Shootings” where the goal is to go to the school and kill as many people as possible like Uvalde, Columbine, Michigan State, Virginia Tech etc. I’ll add the disclaimer that all shootings in general are bad, we need to lower the number as close to zero as we can. I just find it’s best to be precise when talking about this stuff, cause if you say “There were 50 school shootings this year.” most people are going to think Columbine type things then kinda blow you off if they see an incident where someone takes a pot-shot at a bus with no injuries counts as a “school shooting” In the 2022 listing there were 3 instances where there were 3 or more people killed (And events that got wiki articles about them.) out of 52 listed on the wiki page.

I don’t know about you fam, but I don’t want any guns firing off at a school for any reason unless aliens are attacking or some shit. A 16-year-old student was killed after a large fight broke out after a basketball game at Deer Valley High School.[466] A worker fixing the Bruh Did You Even Read The Directions 2 T-Shirt Besides,I will do this roof of Canyon del Oro High School was fatally wounded after his unholstered weapon accidentally discharged.[475] When people hear “School Shooting” they think the former two events, not the two examples I posted, and I think that should be taken into account when talking about school shootings. It’s pedantic, but whatever. I don’t think it’s pedantic if what we’re discussing is the effects of trauma on survivors, I think it’s a good point. no one is getting traumatized from the roof worker discharging his gun and it would be stupid if someone tried to call all the kids in the school at that time “survivors” Crossfire , gangs shootouts and the bullet happens to hit the side of the building . Gangs are pretty normal in the us . I think you may be mistaken: 49.5 million isn’t 495,000,000. It’s 49,500,000. Using that number and dividing by 26,450 gives us 1871.45557656, which gives us 1871 when rounded down. (Unless I’m mistaken – in which case, I apologize). All of the numbers I used are publicly available, if you give me a moment I can update with links to all sources. I did provide a few. You’re using 495 million instead of 49.5 million.
