I’m sure you’d understand my frustration then if you took your tool outside and got accused of carrying around an offensive weapon. While I understand it may still count as breaking the Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band 51 Years 1972 2023 Thank You For The Memories Signature Shirt in addition I really love this law I still see it as very unjust and ridiculous. What stops me simply keeping it on me at all times, is that the blade locks open (I have to press a tab to close it). I agree it’s a stupid law – but it is what it is, and I’m not going to argue with the Police over whether it’s a fair law. I meant once the knife has been opened, do you have to press a button/catch/something, to then allow the blade to be closed? fully agree with you, especially if it was concealed in my bag. However, it was silly to take that into school, regardless of legality. Agreed, to clarify this wasn’t my everyday school bag. I was using it for revision where I used to take snacks and drinks to a quiet location to take notes. The multi tool was used to open the drinks. The sole reason I had my bag with me for those brief, last, 3 hours of my school career was to look over my notes for 15 minutes before the exam started. There is no way the blade is 4″ long without it being a big Swiss army knife. I’ve got proper locking folders with blades under 3″ that are far larger than any multitool other than a modern leatherman, which still has a knife under 3″.

Also if you are able to plead ignorance where you are from do that. You know the Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band 51 Years 1972 2023 Thank You For The Memories Signature Shirt in addition I really love this laws and thought it was legal to carry as it was a folding knife non locking under 3 inches and you werent aware the use of the bottle opener on the tool wasnt considered good reason to carry it in your bag. I know the uk and canada would accept that plea, idk 100% how scotland works though. I genuinely wouldn’t worry. I was stupid and caught with a knife once, honesty and sincerity got me through the process. I highly doubt you’ll get much more than a warning and at absolute most a refferal order (that’s what it was called for me) basically a bit of community service and once the referral order is spent you never ever have to mention it again it doesn’t even come up on dbs checks (maybe an enhanced one I can’t remember) . As an example, I had a 9 month referral order, many moons ago. I now have security clearance and work with public services. I did tell the police about it when doing my SC and they weren’t worried about it.
