I’ve had indoor cats. They always get out. If they are not familiar with outdoors they get hit by car or lost. Idk. I get mine in every night and if I cannot find I leave cat door unlocked. My cat is an outdoor cat because she won’t stop peeing all over my house. Poops in the Browns Supermodel football I’m a ride or die win or lose till the wheels come off Browns fan shirt Also,I will get this litter box perfectly fine but pees anywhere. She’s technically not a full outdoor cat. I leave my porch door cracked open and she comes in to sleep and eat I moved to a house that has two feral cats that just randomly wander through the yard. My cat immediately started spraying in my new house. I took him to the vet. The vet explained that because there is cat traffic outside, my cat feels the need to mark his territory and “if you let him go outside, he will mark outside. Just make sure he’s in at night so he doesn’t become coyote food.” So now when he cries at the door, I let him out. He does his business and comes back. So this is one possible explanation. You shouldn’t be down voted for this but I feel you. Whenever I post a comment saying that cats belong indoors, not outdoors, I also get down voted to shit, so you’re not alone.

Sometimes people just don’t want to do the Browns Supermodel football I’m a ride or die win or lose till the wheels come off Browns fan shirt Also,I will get this whole cat litter thing, or maybe they feel bad for their cat and just let them out, or they honestly think “cats belong outdoors”. Well, fuck, birds belong outdoors. Fish belong in lakes/rivers, etc. Hamsters belong outside, in the grass. Lizards belong wherever it is lizards belong. Same with snakes. And yet, not a single time have I ever seen someone advocate that we should let birds, fish, hamsters, lizards or snakes outside, to roam freely, in the same way that they do cats. Cats belong indoors or when outside, supervised or on a leash/lead. We don’t let dogs do this. We don’t let birds do this. Or much of any other domesticated animal. What if your cat was bred to be indoors? Is that a thing? Our special breed cats – Siberian and Mainecoon can not survive outdoors. They get plenty love, care and stimulation inside. They totally freak out if they leave the house and are deathly afraid of large birds and dogs. (nb large birds being harmless hadedas) However our domestic cats have always had interests outdoors. Our current domestic cat is like 80% indoors but will roam our yard, stalk some pigeons, catch some grasshoppers and be back inside pretty soon. She also likes to sit in front of the neighbours crazy dog where he can’t reach her. Sometimes she chills in the garden with other neighbourhood cats. I don’t see an issue with this.
