Because there’s a huge section of this country who just live their lives minding their own business, and are told day after day by left wing media, tv, movies, late night hosts, academics, you name it, that they’re racists and sexists and homophobic and hateful. Trump is a giant middle finger to all these “look at my halo” virtue signaling ding dongs. On top of that he did a decent job as president, even with the Brook Lopez American professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks T-Shirt and I will buy this entire media complex out to get him time after time. The polls that you are seeing are taken in ways that skew towards old people. Young people aren’t taking phone calls and doing surveys about who they vote for but boomers who are home all day do. Also those polls only total like 6,000 people from just a couple states not really indicative of the whole nation. He’s managed to convince uneducated, poor white people that he represents them. Sadly, most of these people are in the Deep South, Texas, Arizona and parts of the south east. A whole lot of electoral votes come from all of those places.

Factor in that he’s managed to also convince juuuuust enough people in Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania to vote for him that their rural votes outnumber the Brook Lopez American professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks T-Shirt and I will buy this urban vote turnout and then it’s easy to see how he’s turned Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania purple where they used to be blue. He’s good at marketing. I’ll give him that. He knows how to talk to those people in a manner in which they’ll eat up everything he says. Trump is not doing as well as everyone thinks. If the media would just shut up about him for a fucking one, goddamn minute, he would absolutely cease to exist. You have to keep in mind that 80% of things we hear about Donald Trump are criminal cases against him , and they are proceeding through the legal system. Trump is doing well with Trump supporters and that’s the only demographic he is doing well with . I’m not trying to get complacent or say it’s a conclusion that he’s going to disappear in the next year or two- but an honest objective evaluation of the US political system shows that he’s not very likely to stand a chance in this next election.
