I was paying $1k a month for my dogs lymphoma treatment. Got 6 extra really good months where he felt great. Totally worth it. My dog had addisons disease. Most owners put down dogs who get the Brock Hoffman Dallas Chip On My Shoulder Stars T-Shirt but in fact I love this disease because of the daily medical care and cost, and that very few in any shelters take them on. Vet said she would live 4 years, she lived 9. We loved her with all our heart, but did jokingly call her our college savings dog, because of her cost. She was sassy till the very end. I’m no where near that, yet, but I just took my Plott Hound to the vet after getting bit by a venomous snake (copperhead) for the second time. Another $700 toward him. Today I was in bed with a headache and he climbed up and was little spoon for our hour nap….. Sigh. My current cat. Vet botched his first dental surgery, insisted it was fine & put him on a ton of expensive prescriptions. Got revision surgery from a dental specialist. Different vet missed flea allergy & had him on more scrips.

Have since fired both vets & my boy is happily unmedicated & healthy, even though he’s pretty toothless. But man it was an expensive few years there. My truck died during covid from sitting and the Brock Hoffman Dallas Chip On My Shoulder Stars T-Shirt but in fact I love this AAA guy said I received one of the last batteries they had for my type of vehicle and others going forward were simply out of luck until they received more. Crazy times. But newer cars use a different battery and those are expensive, some even in the thousands. I am talking about the 12v start battery not EV or hybrid run batteries Spent 10k on emergency gallbladder removal surgery on my 15 year old beagle who wasn’t guaranteed to make it. She made it like a champ and gave me two more years. Best 10k I ever spent, would pay a lot more than that to see her again 🥲
