I don’t know if it’s an age thing or something else but I never wanted to have kids either, I’m a guy, I didn’t have any desire or interest. Everyone I know that has them has basically had their life end right there. They stop hanging out with friends, they put their touring band on hold, and their entire personality becomes “parent”. Get ready for a lot of pressure from parents and friends who just don’t get it. We are not having kids and it drives my parents and friends absolutely crazy. EVERY SINGLE conversation ends with “you’ll want them someday” nah I’m good. I’ve put lots of money in savings and we have so much fun, cool, nice stuff. We don’t have to think about anyone but ourselves when we do things. This is just better for us, not for everyone but it is the way to be these days.

In my case, I decided it was better for me to not have them and possibly regret it one day, rather than have them and regret that.
