If Matt Gaetz and AOC can come together to put forth a bipartisan bill against this crap you know there’s a problem. We really need to make it so politicians cannot receive any type of outside resources from any sources while in public office. Cap pay to a set amount based off of minimum wage that cannot be adjusted unless the Breast Cancer Is Boo Sheet Breast Cancer Warrior Halloween Vintage T-Shirt besides I will buy this entire country gets adjusted with it. He basically just admitted that personal profiteering is at least part of his motivation to be in Congress. That should be a violation of his oath and immediately be expelled (from the country) Nothing, inherently, but being a football coach isn’t something that qualifies someone for being electable to Congress, IMO. “I think that [a ban on congressional stock trading] would really cut back on the amount of people that would want to come up here and serve.” I think what he means is that you might filter out the people looking to abuse the system and profit off their positions… Sounds good to me. It would really cut back on the grifters, and people would want to come up and serve the interests of their constituents It would open up a lot of spots for those who truly want to serve the country as opposed to serving them selves to our tax dollars.

This reminds me of when I tried to read Thomas Frank’s book The Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule and the Breast Cancer Is Boo Sheet Breast Cancer Warrior Halloween Vintage T-Shirt besides I will buy this beginning chapters are all about these men in the early 1900s that saw Civil service as just that: an idealistic way to serve society. Then when the lobbyists and moneyed interests came in, I couldn’t keep reading because it was too depressing for me… Maybe it would attract people who actually want to be a public servant and represent the people who voted them into office. That’s the point. If members of congress can’t trade in stocks then blatantly corrupt people will be less likely to run for congress. Good. Greedy fucks like this assclown shouldn’t be in congress. We always thank people in the military for serving because they’re giving up so much for this country. Same doesn’t hold true for the worst politicians because part of their service is self service at our expense.
