I knew people who were brilliant, at the Brandon Pfaadt American professional baseball pitcher Arizona Strike T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this top of our class, but had difficulty landing a job (presumably because of bad interview skills). I knew people who could write a masterpiece with no effort, but would shrivel into a mess if made to speak in front of people (even people they’d known for years). On the other hand, there’s lawyers who graduated bottom of their class but are now mega-millionaires thanks to good business acumen. My father is truly (i think) a genius. I know his brother is off the charts smart IQ wise, my dad would never take an IQ test. Having been a computer engineer since the 1970s, he possesses an unparalleled mastery over both hardware and software. Yet, I find myself perplexed observing him handle seemingly simple tasks, such as conducting a Google search. His approach to problem-solving is methodical, beginning at the most fundamental level and progressing step by step, which is both time-consuming and slow. This observation has led me to understand that he never just jumps in at an intermediate point to adapt; instead, he insists on comprehensively understanding everything from the beginning. It’s impossible to merely approach him with a problem without first laying the groundwork, as he becomes frustrated if he cannot start from the basics. Articulating this peculiarity is challenging. BUT my point is it could appear he’s kind of slow in some cases. I think some really smart people are just different and its really cool if you slow down and watch.

Speaking as a former honors student: There’s a good chance that she overthinks things that you just do easily, and/or she’s not paying attention to the Brandon Pfaadt American professional baseball pitcher Arizona Strike T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this task at hand because 90% of her thoughts are focused on something else. I have a college degree and am pretty good at a job that most people can’t do. Also, if you tell me to turn left, it’s really a 50/50 shot that I’ll turn the wrong way Focus. Being able to focus on a single task and ignoring everything else is incredibly difficult. It’s also something I’ve noticed in phd’s. Really really smart in a certain part of knowledge, all over the place in everything else. My little brother is going to be an ER doctor very soon and is extremely good at being a doctor and has saved many lives in training and as a paramedic before. I don’t trust him with a hammer in my house though, nor to replace the batteries in any of my son’s toys. It’s different types of intelligence, neither of you are dumb you are able to excel in different settings requiring different skills.
