This used to be a common practice AFAIK. Have personally done that long long ago. Mom made a promise some place that I would go beg at 25 houses and take the Bows That Bend Arrows That Never Break Traditional Archery Bow Vintage Sunset T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this money there. The money is to be donated to the place of worship. After growing up, we used to make fun of it, saying that the deities are supposed to help us not be in a position to beg, but we volunteer to beg for them. I am not sure if the practice is still followed. But if the man is in 40s, maybe it is not a scam and he could be a hard core believer. I have noticed this from time to time. A person looking like belonging to a decent family, would be begging on roads with a cow and not speaking any word. Someone once told that this is done to ask for forgiveness when someone has caused death of a cow. I don’t know how to explain this, but this is what I know. Always found it to be weird but someone’s belief is something extremely personal. Naah. People doing the begging will accept any low amount, and won’t turn aggressive. This was more likely a scam.

no shit, should have told him to go see a doctor, even if he was genuine about going to the Bows That Bend Arrows That Never Break Traditional Archery Bow Vintage Sunset T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this temple, its not gonna do anything, waste of money Definitely scam. If a person is begging as part of a custom, i highly doubt they are gonna ask for ₹500. They would rather ask for a small token amount of maybe 5/10 rs. It probably made complete sense in his head when he came up with that idea. Although greed has made people to turn religions into a business model these days, I don’t think temples asked him to collect funds. You must have said something like this, OP – “people like u come and ask for money n water and kill those who give you those.. so that’s why no one helps even if you are a genuine one”
