Here’s my guess. They don’t want to pay attention to the Bouncers dream neighbours TV show classic shirt and I love this other vehicles merging. They probably aren’t comfortable being in the middle lanes because of too many vehicles around them. The far left lane is furthest away from the “chaos” of merging vehicles. Once they are in that lane it’s their comfort zone and they can relax a bit. Then they go back to doing anything other than paying attention to the road. I get really annoyed by this, but there are times when it’s justified. If there’s an intersection, left exit, or high traffic I don’t get too bothered. The people that drive in the left lane outside of these conditions are selfish, and just want an unobstructed path for themselves regardless of what is good for everyone else If you’re coming up on me going WAY too fast (anything over 10+ mph), then it’s safer for me to stay right where I am and avoid a rear-end collision.

I think most people are just super oblivious to their surroundings. I’ll be on a 2 lane highway, at night with my lights on, approaching a car that’s maybe a quarter mile ahead of me in the Bouncers dream neighbours TV show classic shirt and I love this left lane. They should definitely see me coming and be prepared to get back over to the right but most of the time, they never do until I’m directly behind them. I don’t quite get it because I’m ALWAYS checking my mirrors so I see if cars are coming up behind me well in advance. Guess I just assumed most people check their mirrors as much as me. I have known three types of people who do this: strict rule followers who think they are making the highway safer, drivers who aren’t comfortable in the other lanes because there is too much going on, selfish drivers who also feel that there is too much to manage in the other lanes and just don’t want to deal with it.
